Phil Vassar Concert - Feb. 1, 2008

Tonight I got to hang out with Grandmom and PopPop while Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Bet went to see Phil Vassar in concert. For those of you who are not familiar with Phil Vassar---he's like the Billy Joel of country. He's an awesome piano player!
Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt Bet had seats in the pit. Check out how close to the stage they were!
Here's Phil!
Pretty cool background, huh?

Phil sings a song called "American Child". At the beginning of it he sings
"America" Ray Charles style---that explains the sunglasses!

Um, Phil....shouldn't you be sitting at the piano--not ON it?
Phil always ends his concerts with "Piano Man". He even does the harmonica part.
What a great show!!!

Meeting Pretty Great Granny's New Kitty - Jan. 30, 2008

Mommy and I headed out to Leisuretown today to visit with Pretty "Great" Granny and "Great" Handsome Pop. They just got a new kitten and we were anxious to meet her.
Shortly after we arrived, a special guest star made an appearance---Uncle David! We had a GIGGLE FEST!! It was soooo much fun!

I just couldn't stop laughing!!

While I was busy laughing it up with Uncle Dave, Mommy went on a kitty cat search. After a little bit of investigating, Mommy found DILL THE CAT under Pretty Great Granny's bed. She was too scared to come out and play, so Mommy snapped a picture instead.

Pretty Great Granny told me all about Dill. Then I told her all about my 2 kitty cats,
Abby and Chic.

While I chatted with Granny, Uncle Dave and Great Pop were trying to figure out their new cell phones. I think they should call Dill the Cat and tell her to come out from under the bed to play with me!!

Choo Choo!! - January 26, 2008

Today was very exciting! Mommy, Daddy, Grandmom, and PopPop took me over to Railroad Avenue to see an amazing display. There's a group of local men that get together twice a week to work on this incredible model train exhibit. I couldn't believe how cool everything was!
Here is the very first thing we saw---a rock quarry. It's tough to see all of the little details in the picture, but the guys remembered everything. From ladders to tools and everything in between.

Here's one of the many mountains. Check out the train going into the tunnel.

My pointer finger was VERY busy pointing things out to PopPop.

Check out all of the detail here. They even remember to hang an American Flag on the bridge.

Look at the miniature crane and all of the logs.

Here's Daddy pointing out his favorite things to me.

I could watch these trains for hours!!

All I can say is, "WOW!"

Look at the little guys on their bicycles...and don't forget to check out all the really big trucks--my favorite!!

Once again....."WOW!"

Hey wait a minute.....there's a little sign on the brick building on the right of this picture....

"Daddy, look closely. What does that sign say?"
(By the way...this is one of Mommy's favorites. Don't Daddy and I look exactly alike here?)

I knew it! The sign says, "POPEYE!"
That's my nickname from PopPop!

Everybody smile and say, "CHOO CHOO!"

As luck would have it, just as we were about to get into the car to head home, a REAL train came passing through! I couldn't believe how big...and LOUD...it was!
What a fun day! : )
